A hallmark of a Duke education is the opportunity for students to engage with world-class faculty in cutting-edge research. Thus, from the outset, the Visual Studies Initiative is focused on undergraduate as well as graduate student development opportunities that will link students to scholarly work in visual studies.
Undergraduate opportunities include a Visual Studies Major, participating in the Fresnoy exchange program, and Summer Research Fellowships .
Graduate students are encouraged to participate in the Fresnoy exchange program and to consider applying for a VSI Fellowship once they pass their preliminary examination.
