SUMMER RESEARCH FELLOWS
2009 Summer Fellowship Call for Participation – Deadline April 1, 2009
The Visual Studies Initiative (VSI) awards up to five $2000 undergraduate research fellowships each summer. Summer fellowship research should foster the key aspects of the visual studies initiative, which can include collaborative and/or interdisciplinary projects, novel approaches towards understanding of the visual, a clear connection between the theory and the practice. Fellowships are open to any undergraduate student currently enrolled at Duke University.
Research should be initiated in the summer of 2009, but can be completed throughout the fall.
Application Procedure
Proposals should include:
- A research statement, no more than 1 page in length;
- A statement of support from the applicant’s mentor and any other faculty or staff involved in the proposal;
- A brief CV of the applicant.
All documents should be sent electronically to Marion Monson (marion.monson(at)duke(dot)edu) by midnight, April 1, 2009.
Decisions will be made by May 1, 2009.
